The 3rd annual OKC Summer Sunset 5km Race Series, 1 Mile Fun Run and Kiddie Dashes will be held thoughout Oklahoma City during the months of June, July and August 2007. This unique event series was developed to provide an alternative to early morning races so families can participate together while enjoying the beautiful OKC parks. The events are held in the evenings to allow runners the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful “picnic in the park” experience and beautiful summer sunsets following the runs with a cookout and beverages provided by OK Runner . Families are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the post race awards ceremony, prize drawings, great food and the summer sunset!

New for 2007 is The Blue Suede Sneakers Run to honor the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley. This 5k and 1 mile will be run Friday night, August 17th at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City! Dust off your blue suede sneakers, break out your white sequined jump suits and get ready to rock and run!
